I was brought up to Camp Greyhound this past Monday. Justin and Michelle took wonderful care of me.
They brought me over to see Dr. Paul Neilan of Alcona Animal Hospital for my dental.
Dr. Paul told Dad that I'm a really nice boy handsome boy. *proud smile*
Once I was sleeping, he called Dad from the operating room to give an update on what he saw inside my mouth. At the time he believed 2 back teeth were going to need removal, but once he cleaned and polished my teeth, it turned out I only lost 1 tooth - bottom center tooth.
Due to my missing tooth, Dad jokingly said that he was going to call me Jack - as in Jack-O-Lantern.
I'm not sure if I find the humor in this just yet.
The people at the Alcona clinic were super nice and called to see how I was making out. I highly recommend Dr. Paul Neilan and his staff to my friends.
After my 2 nights and 2.5 days at camp, Dad came to pick me up. We went and stayed with Melissa for the remainder of the week. I was a bit high strung and antsy, very much my fathers shadow. Towards the end of our stay though, i started to settle in a tad.
It was nice to get back home and be in my familiar surroundings. I slept like a log last night, and most of today.
Every time I come back from Camp more of my personality pops out. While I was staying at Melissa's - post camp, I was a big rangy. I took to stealing blankets and clothing. I jumped around bucking like a bronco with them. When I was caught in the act, I dropped down and laid on my "findings" like nothing ever happened, very uncertain as to how a blanket or article of clothing was laying under me. I had no answers to give when asked. "how did that get there"? I blame my new quirks on Ms. Tempo - resident mischief engage'r.
Here are photos from the last little while. Some were taken with the cell phone while others were with the camera. Enjoy!
Karen? Karen? Where are you going?? |

Obey |
There was this time when Devin came home from working nights and i didn't want to get out of bed for my morning "out".
There was this time when I used the inch that was given and got into the bedroom unnoticed; or so i thought
We went on an early morning walk in the fog.
There was this time when I found a secret path and walked Devin through ice and mud.
There was this time I was a greyhound in sheep clothing
There was a day when Devin came home with a box of meaty bones for me. I watched Nana separate them.
Tired from chewing |
There was a time when i stole the body pillow from the bedroom and pulled it down the hall.
There was a time we stopped by Nana's on our morning walk. I took a nap.
There was a time when I went and visited the twins. Sometimes I don't understand them.
My new collar came in the mail. Racing PROud
There was a time when Dad lost me. Nana took me for a LONG walk while Dad put the clothing on the line. He walked up and down the street looking for me. When i couldn't be found, he got into his car and came looking for me.

Ohh! When were you at Camp Greyhound? I was there last week (May 17 to 23rd)
ReplyDeleteKaren wasn't there at first, and nobody introduced me to anyone so I didn't learn anybody's names!
Maybe we even met, but I didn't even realize it!
We were there on the Monday until Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteMs. Gracie was the welcoming committee in the backyard, while the others looked on from the patio door. :)
Did you have the camp greyhound hangover?
I sleep more than usual when I come back from there. Lots of others to hangout with and tons of things to sniff.
I was a little tired the day after, but then after that I was feeling fine!
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I even learned a new game to play: the hop in a circle around another dog while doing a playbow game. I tried to play it with my friend Popo the next time I saw her, but I was dragging my poor mom around by the leash and it didn't work so well.
